Game Day FAQs

1. I have a season ticket, how do I get into Cameron on game day?

Go to Bostock Ticket Gate (the entrance to Wallace Wade football stadium closest to Cameron Indoor) with your season ticket and Duke ID to check in and get a wristband for either bench or band side. You will then be directed to the appropriate line to wait until the usher staff will bring you into Cameron. A season ticket only guarantees admission up until 20 minutes before tip-off.

 

2. I don’t have a season ticket, how do I get into Cameron on game day?

You can join the walk up line! Check in a Bostock Ticket Gate with your Duke ID and get a wristband and then join the walk up line. Please note that we cannot guarantee that any or all of the walk up line will get into Cameron for any given game. We do our best to get as many people inside as we can, but we have a limited amount of space.

Another option is to purchase a ticket through the ticketing portal. If you have a ticket account, you can log into your ticket account and go to Tickets, and then select Men’s Basketball Home Games, and Purchase Individual Tickets. You should then see a list of games, and the option to buy tickets if any have been donated back. If the option to buy tickets for a specific game is not available, it means that no tickets have been donated back yet, or that all donated tickets have already been purchased.. If you are a Graduate or Professional student and you do not have a ticketing account, please see Question 3.

 

3. I want to buy a donated ticket, but I don’t have a ticket account. What do I need to do to get one?

4. I want to advance my ticket to a friend; how do I do that?

Log in to your ticketing portal and select Advance Tickets. Click on your season ticket and hit next (we promise, you won’t advance your entire ticket). Enter the information of the person to whom you are advancing your ticket and then hit next. Select the games that you would like to advance, and continue. Confirm that you would like to advance your tickets.

 

5. I want to donate my ticket back; how do I do that?

To donate back, it operates almost exactly like advancing tickets! Log in to your ticketing portal and select Ticket Back. Click on your season ticket and hit next (again, we promise you won’t be advancing your entire ticket). Select the tickets you would like to donate back and then continue. Confirm that you would like to donate those tickets back.

 

6. What if I don’t want to/can’t buy a ticket?

If you don’t buy a ticket for a game, you can always join the walk-up line as described above. Please keep in mind that joining the walk-up line does not guarantee entry into Cameron Indoor Stadium.

 

7. Who is eligible to bring guests to games?

Only those students with tickets, whether it is their ticket won at Campout, an advanced ticket, or a donated ticket that they purchased. Individuals planning on joining the walk-up line are not permitted to bring guests.


 

8. How do I bring guests to games?

Make sure you are getting email blasts from the Head Ushers. If you are not, follow this link to subscribe - http://eepurl.com/c4M2DP. We send out emails about each game, including information about bringing guests. Promotions are also announced on our Facebook page – Duke Graduate Student Game Day. When we announce a guest promotion, we will also send out/post a link to a survey to register for guest tickets. In order to fill out the survey you need to already have a ticket, so don’t wait until the promotion is announced to get tickets if you don’t have them already.

 

Guest tickets must be picked up at Bostock Gate on game day no less than 45 minutes before tip-off. If you are absolutely unable to pick up your guest ticket by then because of an extenuating circumstance (i.e. class), please email the Head Ushers so they know to put those tickets aside.  Guests are never guaranteed admission into Cameron Indoor Stadium. Guests are responsible to uphold all community standards and ticket usage policies set forth by the Basketball Committee, Duke University and Duke University Athletics Association.


 

9. What can I do if the guest ticket request closes before I can submit a request?

Unfortunately, we only have so many guest tickets for a given game. Individuals who wish to bring guests, but were unable to put in a request before the survey closed, may wait in a guest queue line. Keep in mind that there is no guarantee that there will be guest tickets that were not picked up. We will not have more guest tickets than the amount allotted, so only those not picked up will be available if any. However, if there are remaining guest tickets at the point of 45 minutes before tip-off, they will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis to the guest queue line up until 20 minutes before tip-off.

 

Please note that students in the guest queue line will only be allowed the number of guests provided in the promotion.

 

10. What do I need to do to get my guest tickets that I requested?

If you have requested guest tickets, you need to pick them up when you check-in at Bostock Gate. Please ensure that your guests have a photo ID ready. Guest tickets must be picked up by 45 minutes before tip-off. If your guest tickets are not picked up by this time, they will be provided to ticketed students in the guest queue line who are waiting to see if there available guest tickets.

 

11. What do I do once I’m in Cameron?

Proceed to your designated section, either Bench or Band, and get ready to enjoy the game! If you’re not sure where to go, look for one of our usher staff and they will help direct you to where you need to be.

 

12. My ID didn’t scan when I checked in, what do I do?
